Hello XTND backers!

First and foremost, we want you to know that every single one of you has our undying gratitude for making the XTND Board happen. Thank you for taking this ride with us, for all your feedback, support and trust. It means the world to us.

Before we get this party started, and by party we mean going back to work, let us recap some of the really awesome things that we managed during the campaign:

1. First stretch goal unlocked (Customization)

Everybody will get their board customized to their liking! This includes perks such as choosing the type of wheels, the color of the board or the battery pack that you want.

2. Second stretch goal unlocked (Free set of wheels)

Every backer will get a spare set of wheels of their choosing for free. Terrain or street wheels? It’s up to you!

3. Dual motor version

Now the XTND Board also comes with 2 motors for our more demanding riders! The Dual version will manage better hill climb, faster acceleration, higher output, and more effective braking.

Based on your amazing feedback, we’ve been improving and tailoring our XTND Board to your satisfaction, but we’ll not stop there. We’ll work tirelessly to meet your requests and exceed your expectations.

And what happens now?

A few things. In the next 2 weeks, we will send you a survey asking for your shipping information and details regarding the customization of your board. Once we have all the necessary information, we’ll launch the pre-production and production.

There is a lot to be done right now, but we will update you on our progress regularly. While we’re at it, we’d really appreciate your patience and support that you’ve shown us so far.

It’s been one hell of a ride, but we’re not at the finish line yet! We have a little over 20 hours to go and $50K to hit the next stretch goal so get sharing, tweeting or whatever it is you can do to get the message out!

Update #9 - Add-ons available

Dear XTND backers,

We have a week to go before the end of the campaign. And as we promised, the long-awaited add-ons are now available so you can add spare battery packs, wheels or the dual motor option to your pledge. The add-ons are available at a special Kickstarter discount.

1. XTND Small Battery Pack (81 Wh) - $239

The smallest battery pack has an approximate range of 6.2 mi (10 km) at standard use. Batteries are approved for air travel. Get extra battery pack and save $50 for being our Kickstarter backer!

2. XTND Medium Battery Pack (99 Wh) - $269

The medium battery pack has an approximate range of 9.3 mi (15 km) at standard use. Batteries are approved for air travel. Get extra battery pack and save $50 for being our Kickstarter backer!

3. XTND Large Battery Pack (133 Wh) - $299

The biggest battery pack has an approximate range of 12.5 mi (20 km) at standard use. Get extra battery pack and save $50 for being our Kickstarter backer!

4. XTND Street Wheels - $49

Street wheels have a smooth surface without any pattern and with a perfect adhesion. They are ideal for well-kept roads and sidewalks. Save $50 for being our Kickstarter backer!

5. XTND Terrain Wheels - $49

Terrain wheels have a pattern for a better adhesion on a rougher terrain and a softer polyurethane mixture that makes riding on bumps more comfortable. Save $50 for being our Kickstarter backer!

Update #8 - Dual version is confirmed

You want it, you got it!

Dear XTND backers,

We have great news for you! Our engineering team has been working really hard to grant your request for two motors and we’re proud to say they did an outstanding job.

The XTND Board will now also be available with two motors! This upgrade, however, has to come with several significant changes. It primarily concerns the truck design because it requires more cables. Moreover, it is also necessary to adjust the whole control system and electronics. Nevertheless, it’s nothing we couldn’t do! Since we’re launching both the pre-production and production phase after the campaign, we’re still able to incorporate these changes into it.

If you’re alright with a bit of additional weight (2.2 lbs / 1 kg), what you’ll get in return is better output, faster acceleration, and better hill climb. Of course, the maximum speed could also be higher, but we think 28 mph (45 km/h) is more than enough. Moreover, the motors will heat up less and distribute the heat better, which means better efficiency and range.

As we promised, we’ll add several add-ons to the Reward section a week before the end of the campaign where you’ll also find the second motor. We’re sure you understand that this upgrade can’t be completely for free as it involves quite extensive changes. The second motor will be available for $150. It’s the lowest price possible since, unfortunately, motors are the second most expensive component after the batteries.

We hope you’re as pleased and excited as we are about this. We’re incredibly grateful that you keep pushing us forward and helping us improve the XTND Board. We’re more than happy to oblige because we want you to be absolutely satisfied with our board.

Free set of wheels for everyone

Hello XTND backers!

Today kicked off with great news! We’ve reached the second stretch goals, which means everyone will get a free set of spare wheels of your choice. Now you can enjoy twice as many kilometers on your XTND Board. And, you can choose from two options.

1. Street wheels

Riding qualities of these wheels are a lot like standard longboard wheels. They have a smooth surface without any pattern and with a perfect adhesion. They are ideal for well-kept roads and sidewalks.

2. Terrain wheels

These wheels are similar to the street ones but with several alterations that make them more suitable for a more demanding and wet terrain. They have a pattern for a better adhesion on a rougher terrain and a softer polyurethane mixture that makes riding on bumps more comfortable.

You’ll be able to choose the wheels according to your preference after the end of the campaign in a survey that we’ll send you.

Now, let’s make it to $400,000 and conquer the next stretch goal!
