Are there any test videos of the XTND Board?

Yes, you can find them here: https://goo.gl/7Jkxga. We’ll be adding more of them once they’re ready.

How much does the XTND Board weigh?

The weight we give in the campaign does not include batteries, which is also common with other board companies, because the weight depends on a particular battery pack. With batteries, the weight ranges from 8 to 8.6 lbs (3.7 - 3.9 kg).

What’s the warranty for the XTND Board?

Every board comes with a standard 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Moreover, all the boards include a 6-month warranty for the battery. Bearings, wheels, and anti-slip cover are normal wear and tear items and are not covered under warranty.

What is the return policy?

We want you to be happy with our board so in case you’re not, you can send it back to us within 14 days with a full refund.* Please bear in mind items returned for refund must be returned within 14 days from delivery. Otherwise, we cannot refund it.

*Customers are responsible for shipping costs for all return claims and are subject to restocking fee of 15% if the board has been ridden or are not in store bought condition with packaging in new, sellable form.

Is the board waterproof?

The XTND Board is waterproof (the prototypes are not yet waterproof, but the final product will be) so you don’t have to worry about the rain or if you accidentally drop it into water and pull it out quickly. Life happens, we know. The remote control is not waterproof, just water-resistant, but it can be used in the rain, too. However, safety always first so be careful when you ride on a wet terrain. The wheels can lose adhesion in a heavy rain so we recommend taking it slow and using terrain wheels, if possible.

What is the weight limit?

The maximum weight the board can carry is 265 lbs (120 kg).

Last updated: July 07, 2017 22:36

Can you use the board even the battery is not charged?

Yes, just like a regular longboard.

Last updated: July 07, 2017 22:36

How do I choose the battery pack and other customized features?

After the end of the campaign, we’ll send you a survey where you’ll be able to choose everything to your liking, including the battery pack of your choice, the color, the type of wheels, and other customized features.

Last updated: July 07, 2017 22:36

What batteries can I choose from?

Every backer will be able to choose a battery pack they prefer. We offer 3 battery packs that differ in capacity. The smallest battery pack is 81 Wh with an approximate range of 6.2 mi (10 km) at standard use. The medium one is 99 Wh and around 9.3 mi (15 km). Both of these battery packs are suitable for traveling by plane. The battery pack with the highest capacity is 133 Wh with the range of 12.5 mi (20 km). As for the weight, it ranges from 1.54 to 1.98 lbs (700 - 900 g) depending on a particular pack.

How do I purchase add-ons?

If you already pledged, go to the section Manage my pledge (on the top of the page of our Kickstarter campaign) and add the amount of money to the pledge for what you’d like to purchase as add-ons.

US customer for example: $999 (Super Early Bird) + $150 (Dual Motor Version) + $50 (shipping) = $1,199.

Once the campaign is over, we’ll send you a survey where you’ll just fill out what add-ons you paid for.

Last updated: July 07, 2017 22:36

Is it possible to buy spare batteries, wheels, and other accessories?

Yes, you can buy them as add-ons during the campaign by increasing your pledge by the amount of money for particular add-ons you want. Then, after the campaign, we’ll send you a survey where you’ll be able to specify which add-ons you paid for. You’ll be also able to buy any further add-ons through the survey.

Where is the XTND Board manufactured?

All the components of the board are designed and manufactured in Europe except for the batteries that we buy from high-quality suppliers from Asia. The company is based in the US where our marketing and sales team is, but our R&D, as well as other parts of the team, are in Europe. We are working with top suppliers and manufacturers of the longboarding, automotive, and space industry. Our team comprises experts with extensive experience in operation and supply chain management as well as mass production.

Where will the XTND Boards be shipped from and what does that mean for me?

The XTND Boards will be shipped from 2 different warehouses - one is located in the USA and one in the EU. This means that for US and EU backers the stated prices are final and include VAT, i.e. the product should not be subject to any import customs duty in these countries. As for the rest of the world, the purchaser is responsible for any import or other duties.

Why it takes so long to delivery them?

We are doing all we can to produce and ship the first XTND Boards as soon as possible, but we want to make absolutely sure that we are delivering a flawless product and the whole preparation process for the pre-production and production generally takes 6 to 9 months.

Last updated: July 07, 2017 22:36

Does it have a good grip?

We are using a special anti-slip finish that has several layers. Its biggest advantage is that it is not aggressive as the regular grip and doesn’t ruin clothes and hands when you carry it. Last updated: Thu, May 25 2017 3:20 pm EDT

Can I charge phone or other usb gadgets using my board (is micro usb 2A port available)?

The board itself will not have any usb ports. We have decided to have a clean design without using any ports, considering that everybody will be switching to USB-C and we can’t have all the ports covered. Last updated: Thu, May 25 2017 3:09 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
